All too commonly, an opinion is futilely mistaken for common sense.
We do it far too often, but we need to stop seeing children and young adults as merely troubled half-humans who need to be appeased, medicated, and entertained until they are old enough to learn ‘the ways of the world’. They are simultaneously a window into our past, and our future. And each of us once was, just that.
